DanceWorks Center is owned and operated by Raven Pierce Hunter and Rhiannon Ballard. It offers dance classes in hip hop, ballet, jazz, pointe, contemporary, tap, stretch and Acrobatics. We try to make learning enjoyable while teaching structure and technique. We are firm but gentle while maintaining a true attitude towards professionalism.
DanceWorks Center has been a venue of quality dance education since 2008. The facility has two large and fully mirrored dance studios with a separate waiting room. Safety and injury prevention are very important to us. Our floating dance floor is installed above a raised sub floor that is designed to provide dancers with absorption and resilience.
We are dedicated to being a part of our community by encouraging communication through art. We believe through sharing our performances and providing a place where members of our community are welcome to learn the art of dance, that we add to the depth and diversity that makes up our community.
COMMITMENT TO INSPIRE: We are all students of dance, of performance, and of life. Through this shared learning experience, we strive to inspire our students and be inspired by our students. Living, learning, teaching, creating, and developing an appreciation for dance.
Our hope is to provide each student with an experience that will be looked back upon as an important and special part of their life.
INTEGRITY: To conduct oneself with honesty, courtesy, and respect. To express consideration for one’s fellow dancers, educators, parents, staff and competitors. To be a person who leads by example and honors commitments. To be a person other people can count on.
The yearly program runs from August to May for regular dancing, company continues until July.
The annual recital is held in June in Thibodaux
